I’m a geomorphologist who loves thinking about how landscapes and life shape each other across Earth's history — and how they continue to evolve today.
I grew up at the eastern edge of Jerusalem, looking out toward the Judean Desert, a place where the impact of water on life, and life on the landscape, is stark and unforgettable. That landscape sparked a lifelong fascination with Earth's surface.
Today, my research focuses on Surface Processes and Sustainability, integrating field geomorphology, geochemistry, and microbial ecology. I use tools like cosmogenic nuclide dating and metagenomics to understand how surface processes, life, climate, and geochemical cycles interact across landscapes and timescales.
I'm particularly excited by the challenge of linking big, long-term processes to the smallest agents of change, and how these interactions help shape landscapes and sustain ecosystems.
